The breeding program of spring wheat involves testing the agronomic performance of different genotypes in different environmental conditions to highlight their yield potential and grain quality. Twelve spring wheat genotypes were tested in a different field conditions-ARDS Turda, ARDS Livada and ARDS Lovrin, for their agronomic performances during 2024. Even though the climatic conditions in the three research centers had certain specific features, they allowed us to identify certain high-performing genotypes. Thus, regarding grain yield capacity, the genotypes T. 2601-22 and T. 2585-22 were noted as performing for all three ecological conditions, their average production being 4905 respectively 4694 ka ha-1. Hectoliter weight is an important morpho-physiological traits based on which the adaptability of the genotype to different climate and stress conditions can be evaluated. In our study these traits rage between 68.07 to 73,77 kg hl-1. For grain quality, the genotypes T. 4173-19, T. 2584-22 and T. 2585-22 recorded higher indices for protein content, respectively wet gluten content. The testing of wheat genotypes in different ecological conditions allowed the identification of the perspective line T. 2585-22 and T. 2601-22 having a high productivity, respectively T. 4173-19 and T. 2584-22 as superior grain quality, combining the two agronomic characters in a favourable way.
